In bustling Osaka, university student Tsuneo Suzukawa unexpectedly becomes the caretaker of Josee, a disabled young woman with a strong will and a love for art, after rescuing her from a dangerous fall. Invited by her protective grandmother, Chizu, Tsuneo begins living with them, slowly breaking through Josee’s tough exterior. Over time, their bond blossoms through shared experiences, including a joyful trip to the beach.
When Tsuneo earns a scholarship to study in Mexico, he hides the news from Josee. After Chizu passes away, Josee tries to live independently. Misunderstandings and emotional distance grow between them, and a tragic accident leaves Tsuneo hospitalised. During his recovery, Josee finds her voice again through illustration, publishing a story symbolising their journey.
Reunited after another dramatic fall, mirroring their first meeting, they finally confess their love. Tsuneo chooses both his dreams and Josee, studying in Mexico but always returning to her. The story ends with hope, showing two people growing, healing, and choosing each other, despite life's trials. A beautiful testament to love, independence, and following one’s dreams.
