The Martian (2015) Full Movie

In 2035, the Ares III mission to Mars is thrown into chaos when a violent dust storm threatens the crew’s Mars Ascent Vehicle. Amid the evacuation, astronaut Mark Watney is struck by debris and presumed dead. The crew departs, leaving him behind. Watney survives, injured and alone, with no way to contact Earth. Using his skills as a botanist and engineer, he cultivates potatoes using Martian soil and the crew’s bio-waste, while manufacturing water from leftover rocket fuel.

NASA discovers he’s alive through satellite imagery, and contact is re-established via the resurrected Pathfinder probe. Tragedy strikes when a critical habitat failure destroys his crops, plunging him into another crisis. A failed resupply launch is salvaged through international cooperation when China offers their Taiyang Shen rocket. Meanwhile, a daring plan is hatched to slingshot the Hermes spacecraft back to Mars.

After a gruelling 90-sol trek, Watney reaches the Ares IV MAV and launches, but rescue nearly fails due to velocity mismatches. Commander Lewis improvises, and Watney uses his suit to manoeuvre into her grasp. Back on Earth, he becomes a survival instructor, his story inspiring a new generation of explorers.
