Johnny English Reborn

Eight years after a disastrous mission in Mozambique stripped him of his knighthood, Johnny English has been honing his mind and body in a Tibetan monastery. When a new threat emerges, MI7 calls him back into action. The new director, Pamela “Pegasus” Thornton, tasks him with uncovering a plot to assassinate the Chinese Premier during vital UK talks. Reunited with tech whiz Quartermain and new partner Colin Tucker, English begins his mission in Hong Kong.

There, he learns of Vortex, a secret group behind the Mozambique fiasco, now targeting global stability using a deadly mind-control drug. The key to their plan lies with three agents, each holding part of a secret weapon. English recovers one key, but loses it to a disguised enemy during a flight. Humiliated and dismissed after several blunders, including attacking Pegasus’s mother, he uncovers that his old colleague, Ambrose, is Vortex’s traitor inside MI7.

After a wild chase and a showdown in the Swiss Alps, English resists mind control, survives a cable car battle, and accidentally blows up Ambrose with a missile-umbrella. Honoured once more, English’s knighthood is restored, only for him to tackle the real Queen during the ceremony by mistake.
