Set several years after Daredevil (2015–2018), Daredevil: Born Again picks up with Matt Murdock having stepped away from his life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. A year into his hiatus, he resumes his fight, not in the shadows, but in the courtroom, as a defence attorney still seeking justice for the voiceless. Meanwhile, Wilson Fisk has returned to public life with a dangerous new face: he’s been elected Mayor of New York City. While appearing reformed, Fisk secretly begins a brutal crackdown on crime, specifically targeting masked vigilantes like Daredevil through his new Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF).

Season one builds toward a tense showdown as Murdock must navigate a city slipping into authoritarianism under Fisk’s rule, torn between maintaining his legal integrity and reclaiming his masked identity. By season two, Fisk's grip tightens. Declaring martial law, he turns New York into a surveillance state. With the AVTF hunting anyone in a mask, Murdock is forced to rally a resistance—former allies and new faces alike, to take a final stand. The fight for justice, identity, and the soul of the city has only just begun.
