Cyberpunk Edgetunners (Season 01)

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners takes set in Night City, a dystopian city in the Free State of California, plagued by corruption, cybernetic fixation, and violent gang activity. This futuristic city is dominated by powerful megacorporations like Arasaka and Militech, whose influence stretches across every corner of society. Night City is separated into six unique districts, each with its own lifestyle, security, and amount of poverty or prosperity. The oldest and most industrialised area, Santo Domingo, is the primary focus of the anime. It is characterised by its dilapidated infrastructure, high concentration of manufacturing, and working-class residents who are fighting for their lives. 

After a personal tragedy, a young street child called David Martinez is thrust into a world of high-tech combat and moral compromise in this narrative, which is set in the year 2076. In the face of a society that provides nothing for those without wealth or influence, David looks to the life of a "edgerunner", a cyberpunk mercenary prepared to sacrifice all for freedom and survival.
