A Quiet Place Part II

During a Little League game in Millbrook, New York, the Abbott family and other spectators witness a meteor crash to Earth. From it emerge terrifying alien creatures known as Death Angels, blind but fast and powerful, they hunt using their acute hearing. Chaos erupts, and the world quickly falls silent. A year later, the Abbotts are among the few survivors. Having lost Lee and young Beau, Evelyn leads her remaining children, while Regan, who is deaf, discovers that her cochlear implant emits a frequency that can weaken the creatures.

While searching for other survivors, Marcus is injured, drawing an Angel. They take refuge in an abandoned foundry and are found by Emmett, a grieving friend. He initially refuses to help until Regan deciphers a radio broadcast hinting at a survivor colony on an island. Emmett joins her mission, and together they escape an ambush and reach the island. Regan uses a radio tower to transmit the disabling frequency. Back at the foundry, Marcus uses the signal to kill an Angel, proving the broadcast works. Regan leaves the signal running, giving humanity a new weapon, sound.
